JOB DESCRIPTION

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Audio Visual Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of audio visual equipment for various events and installations. This role requires strong technical knowledge not only in audio visual equipment but also in IT-related tasks such as cabling installations, network connectivity, and working with audio visual control systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Set up and operate audio visual equipment for events, meetings, and presentations.

  • Install, test, and troubleshoot audio visual systems and components.

  • Perform cabling installations for audio visual systems, including routing and termination.

  • Configure and troubleshoot network connectivity for audio visual equipment.

  • Work with audio visual control systems for seamless integration and operation.

  • Provide technical support and assistance during events and meetings.

  • Maintain inventory of audio visual equipment and ensure proper storage and organization.

  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless execution of audio visual requirements.

  • Stay updated on the latest audio visual technologies and industry trends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in audio visual setup and operation preferred.

  • Strong technical skills and knowledge of audio visual equipment and systems.

  • Experience with cabling installations and network connectivity.

  • Familiarity with IT concepts and protocols.

  • Ability to work with audio visual control systems for integration and operation.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, shovel, and perform repetitive motions with hands and/or wrists.

  • Ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to regularly move objects.

  • Minimum mental and visual attention required for performing highly routine, simple work such as cleaning, using hand-held tools, and operating simple controls.

 

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Regular, physical, on-site attendance is required at both company and client sites.  Some regional travel is required, including one or two night hotel stays.  Out of state travel is rare but may be required from time to time.

SALARY RANGE - $22.00 to $30.00 Hourly
