Installation Technican
We are seeking qualified Installation Technicians to join our team!

JOB DESCRIPTION
The Installation Technician will be responsible for installing IT, Audio/Video-related cabling and equipment in commercial, industrial, and office environments. This includes tasks such as running and terminating data and voice cables, mounting and adjusting security cameras, door access systems, large displays, and other associated technology. The Installation Technician will also estimate the time and materials required for cabling and technology-related projects.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, terminate, and test cables for voice, data, audio, video, maintaining top-tier installations.

Install wireless networking equipment.

Build and maintain enterprise-grade server racks and other enclosures for critical IT hardware and systems.

Set up computers, monitors, printers, scanners, phones, and other equipment.

Troubleshoot various technology and computer systems within reason.

Read and understand equipment manufacturer installation instructions.

Collaborate with off-site support and technicians as needed.

Travel to customer sites within our service territory.

Cultivate professional connections with clients, showcasing systems, and delivering necessary training.

Conduct client walk-throughs to document existing conditions.

Load, transport, and unload tools, materials, and equipment safely.

Operate boom and scissor lifts as required.

Document installations through pictures and notes.

Keep inventory at appropriate levels and ensure a well-organized workspace.

Comply with company policies and procedures.

Engage in continuous product training.

QUALIFICATIONS
-
Minimum 2 years of experience in low-voltage cabling, security camera installation, and access control maintenance.

Proficiency in cable routing, termination, and neat dressing.

Proficiency in designing and maintaining efficient IT and network closet spaces, including rack builds, cable management, and UPS installation and maintenance.

Skilled in using both hand and power tools.

Knowledgeable in construction techniques and wiring methods for both new and existing buildings.

Basic understanding of computers and networking..

Physically capable of lifting, pushing, or pulling packages weighing up to 60 lbs.

Ability to work calmly under pressure, assess multiple demands, and manage priorities.

Adaptable to working independently or as part of a team.

Competent in working with various equipment like step ladders, extension ladders, scissor lifts, or boom lifts.

Strong problem-solving skills and a client-focused approach.

Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

Familiarity with state, city, and town building standards.

Willingness to take direction and eagerness to acquire new skills.

Commitment to adhering to OSHA and all safety standards and procedures.

Openness to training on company-specific technical equipment.

Positive attitude, meticulous attention to detail, and a strong sense of urgency in all tasks.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Ability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, push, pull, lift, use fingers, grasp, feel, shovel, and perform repetitive motions with hands and/or wrists.

Ability to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force to regularly move objects.

Minimum mental and visual attention required for performing highly routine, simple work such as cleaning, using hand-held tools, and operating simple controls.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
-
Regular, physical, on-site attendance is required at both company and client sites. Some regional travel is required, including one or two night hotel stays. Out of state travel is rare but may be required from time to time.

SALARY RANGE - $20.00 to $27.00 Hourly
